Many people who books hotels in Truro also head in a more northerly directly, with the surf and sand of Newquay being a relatively short drive away, while the huge domes of the Eden Project lies to the north-east, in nearby St. Austell. Guesthouses, B&Bs and hotels on the very outskirts of Truro are in a convenient position if you plan to simply use the city as a central base, and have the added advantage that they tend to be a little cheaper than more centrally located accommodation.

One of the most popular choices in this part of Truro is the Fieldings Bed and Breakfast along Treyew Road, which is an attractive Edwardian townhouse with impressive city views.
Further accommodation in Truro is based around the most centrally located Lemon Street, Lemon Quay and City Road, which lead to Richmond Hill and Station Road. Of particular interest is the Royal Hotel along Lemon Street, a grand hotel with an appealing Georgian facade, featuring its own highly regarded seafood restaurant.
Hotels in Truro are in demand during the summer months, when prices understandably rise due to extra demand. However, most accommodation is still quite affordable and bargains can still be found if you are prepared to search them out. Outside of this period, accommodation in Truro becomes noticeably cheaper and competitive, in an attempt to entice visitors and keep occupancy levels high.
