Shopaholics visiting Truro will find plenty to fill their bags, with the best selection of shopping opportunities located bang in the heart of the city. With well-known brands standing alongside local stores, gift shops, tearooms and pubs, Truro's elegant shopping centre is spread around the main streets and interconnecting alleys and cobblestone streets.

Most shops in Truro now open seven days a week, with a number opening at 08:30 and staying open until as late as 19:00 between Monday and Saturday. However, many favour more traditional opening hours and these fall between 09:00 and 17:30 or 18:00. Sunday shopping hours in Truro are much shorter, with many of the larger shops not able to actually start trading by law until 11:00, although open earlier for browsing only. Most open at 10:30, and close at around 16:30 or thereabouts
Truro Shopping: Where to Shop - Truro, Cornwall, England, UK
It is not difficult to find the main concentration of shops in Truro. Simply head to the cathedral, along St. Mary's Street, and you won't be far from the action.
A host of shopping experiences present themselves around Boscawen Street, where you will also fine the Truro Tourist Information Centre, close to the BHS department store. Nearby, further shops line Duke Street, and the Lemon Quay, with favourites including Marks & Spencer and also Peacocks. Also nearby, plenty of shopping opportunities present themselves in the large Woolworths department store along Princes Street.
Slightly to the north-west of the area, many further shops await around Victoria Gardens, such as Next Retail and Boots the chemist along Pydar Street and other stores on the City Road, Calenick Street, Castle Street, River Street and Victoria Square.
On the western side of the city, the Threemilestone Retail Park is a relatively new addition to Truro's shopping scene and is home to many large stores with adjacent car parks, such as Matalan, JJB Sports and also Comet. Around the centre of the city, parking is rarely a problem. A number of multi-storey car parks are dotted around central Truro, together with a 'park and ride' scheme outside of this area.
